Northern Pintall (Female) Anas acuta
MPNR, Nov 2003.
EOS 10D, EF300mm f/2.8 L USM, EF2x II TC, ISO200, f/11, Sidekick, C1LE, Focalblade, PS contrast-masked.

Unfortunately, I was unable to locate a place where I could stay low and get close at the same time. Well, I have figured it out by now. I have used contrast masking [edit]and cloning[/edit] to remove a floating feather. Anyway, please comment.

Nice clean shot with colors that work well together, Griffin. I also like the quality of light here. This may also work well cropped a little tighter with the subject less centered vertically. How did you use a contrast mask to remove a floating feather?

I am sorry for my poor English. I use feather is cloned out. I use contract masking to make the neck brighter. The sun was shining from the right and was quite harsh.

As Alan has already commented, the image is a little soft. A tighter framing would be better but that is just me and it probably will exagrate the steep shooting angle further ...
Good job nevertheless, Griffin!

I think this is very nice. For some reason the angle doesn't bother me in this image. I really like the size of the Pintail in the frame.
