I took this one few winters ago, in the Megantic region.
This little bird is lit by the light reflecting on snow just under him...
Some of you may remember this one as I already posted it in the past.

Nikon F90x, AF300mm F4, TC-14b, Kodak VS, full frame.

Thanks for comments.

A fine shot, Michel. Sharp where it counts. I probably would have cropped from below. There's also a slight blue cast.

I like it as is. There is a blue cast on the bird's breast. I don't know if that is natural reflected light or an aberration

Unique lighting angle makes for an unusual look, nicely posed.

I like it. Unusual and very minimalist with an airy feel.
I agree there is a slight blue cast. You can remove that from the bird without losing it in the background.

Nice balance. I don't think the blue is necessarilly a cast but rather a reflection. Possibly a small bottom crop would also be nice.

Wow, love that icy feel Michel, winter's upon us soon, especially tomorrow even colder for Montreal.

I don't mind the blue cast on the breast and find it adds nicely to the image, unites it.

Thanks for reposting this, I hadn't seen it before.

What a gorgeous puffball this is. The colors really set the mood....I'm getting cold just thinking about the snow under him. A very unique image.

Beautiful image. I like that the descending branch comes out of the light blue lower right corner, while the bird is offset by the dark background. I like the color as is, but the VS may be partly responsible for the cast people have mentioned. VS is even stronger than Velvia--too much in sunshine, according to Galen Rowell, but fine for overcast conditions.

Michel,
I like this one too. The background is beautiful and the graphics of the perch work for me. Nice shot.
