Beautiful, Dave. I wouldn't have minded ISO 400 with the aperture closed one more stop for extra DOF.

I really like the pairs of animals as they are different from the solos on a perch. I don't mind the loss of DOF as it adds a 3d perspective.

My nit - I would have included the tail feathers and feet. Lovely image and great subject.

Good shot. Just a bit more DOF maybe.

Really cool detail in these birds. The shoulders almost look drybrushed by an artist, who also seems to have frosted the neck feathers.

Dave,

Nice shot. I like the similar pose in both birds. You did well with the exposure. A little more head turn this way from the rear bird would make this shot even better. Enjoy the new toy.

This just isn't fair. I scrounged all last wineter only to find one...for a few days. You have two here!!! I would have liked a little more DOF but with the pose of the two of them it's still a wonderful image. Good going to get both.

These are the most beautiful ducks!! I agree about the DOF but this is still very sweet. :)

You did a wonderful job with these two and superb timing to get them in this mirror pose! They were rushing about so much most of the time. my shots of these guys were just a mess!!
