Hooded Merganser

Sorry for my absence lately... med school has been catching up with me this last month and I haven't had any time to shoot or post... but break time is coming up very soon! I can't wait to get out and shoot some ducks... hopefully this year will be similar to the last, when we saw many great opportunities. This one is from last January... several of us froze our behinds off waiting for a group of mergs to come in close enough and were finally rewarded with a brief visit by this guy and his friends. I hope that you like it!

On top of the beautifully portrayed subject, I love how all of the colors work so well together.

Excellent image!!

Hey, I learned to play pool when I should have been in Anatomy Lab in Med School. You should be able to find time to shoot

Real nice Matthew. I'm hoping we get the birds but I'm not sure I'm looking forward to the weather!

Wonderful shot in all respects. I love the ice (as long as it's up north and not down here in south Texas).
