I'm sure glad I wasn't using my 601 mm lens (GBH pano)

I caught this guy this morning at Port Aransas, TX. Talk about tight in the frame. :o Good thing he wasn't a few inches longer.

EOS 1D with 600 and 1.4X TC, incident metering -1/3 (ISO 200, f14, 1/500), fill flash at - 2 stops. Cropped vertically.

Thanks for looking. All comments welcome.

Wow. Nice job fitting him in the frame. I wouldn't want to be in his way!

That's some pretty amazing framing. I would have lost the whole head. Quite an unusual pose you got here. I have never seen one so stretched out.

Well you certainly got all of him. Lucky I saw this as I was about to post a GBH in the same flight position as this :)

Bruce,

Nice shot. It sure is an interesting view of this guy. You did well to fit him in the frame without cutting anything off.

This is truly a flying arrow. Talk about excellent timing.....just a fraction of a second and you'd be posting body parts. This is one of your best!!!

Cool shot. I've never seen a GBH with its head and neck in that position while in flight. Great job.
