November is always a slow month for me. Fall migration over and most winter birds not yet around. Going through images from this spring I reworked this one using the shadow/highlight tool in cs. Makes some adjustments a lot easier than before.

I shot this during the spring migration on a drizzly day using my 600, 1.4X, 1D and fill flash. Under these conditions and using fill really brings out the color on these guys. Thanks for looking.

Holy cow! I don't think I have ever seen such an intensely colored BT Blue. This is a stunning photo.

The flash really makes this little bird into a jewel. The colors are wonderful and I also like the perch.

Still, it looks like the image was warmed up a bit. Or, maybe it was the highlight/shadow tool that did the trick. I am not sure, but I really like the image.

BLACK throated BLUE! I don't think I have ever seen an image that so clearly pictures the reasons for that name.

Very kewl...it seems somehow to be very much in the Christmas spirit with all of the colors on the perch...
