I am not sure about this image. I like the reflections, but not to crazy about the BG. It is kind of moody with the dark background...

Any help appreciated. Nikon D100, 80-400VR - 400mm, handheld 1/350@F5.6

Cheers,

Jeff,

I really like the dark BG. It really makes the bird stand out. The reflection is cool as well but what I really like are the striations in the pouch.

I like the dark bg, and as Cheryl pointed out, the pouch makes this shot.

I agree with you Jeff. The reflections are very nice. The dark background works well with this subject. The oof object in the bg would be my only nit.

Excellent shot!!

Marvelous detail in the pelly, Jeff. He's appearing petable to me, i.e., I'd love to smooth down his locks !!! I agree with Bill on the BG object. A mighty sweet looking youngster !!!

Jeff, the bird, background, and detail are wonderful. I find the comp disconcerting; a bit central, and high in the frame as posted. Moving the bird right in the frame would further enhance this fine image.

Best,

Chas
