Canon D60 70-200mm F/2.8 L IS USM at 200mm 1/640 f/5.6 Handheld 40% of Fullframe Photographed on Dunedin Causeway, Dunedin, Florida two years ago.

I was at the right place at the right time and got five clear shots of the Osprey during its strike and rise from the water. Perhaps not the best shot in my portfolio, but certainly one of my all time favorites. Probably will never have the opportunity again to get a shot like this with a 200mm!

Comments and suggestions for improvement are appreciated, thanks,

Bill

Bill,

Absolutely killer!! One of your best. Love the water droplets, and the sharp eye. The bird looks pretty good too! :P

Seriousley, the wing position is just awesome!

That's an almost impossible shot with the D60 focusing system. Great shot.

Bill,

This is an awesome shot. I know from personal experience that this is an almost impossible shot with a D60. Great job.

Bill,

Great shot!! The vertical crop works well with this composition.

I was trying to decide who made the better catch....you or the osprey. But the answer is clear. The osprey only caught a fish, but you caught both the fish, and the osprey, and at just the right moment.
