Superb Fairywren

After seeing Wayne Ellis' picture of the Superb Fairywren, I have to share the picture that I took. When we were looking for this bird, the first time, the leader was giving directions to the bird. All of a sudden my wife said "Ohh!". The leader said very dryly "I think that Marj has it."

This is one of most remarkable looking birds that we saw in Australia.

Taken at Little Desert National Park. (Note that it is banded, should I remove the band with Photoshop?)

Beautiful little bird that sounds like it is hard to find and photograph. I would be happy to have this one in my files.

Very cool plumage. I'd be tempted to trim just a little off the foliage on the right and the space below. But only a little.
