A very nice shot! It looks like the head is just starting to be out of the DOF. Perhaps a bit of selective sharpening of the head would bring it back enough to no be noticeable.

Nice pose on a good looking bird. As EJ pointed out the head is a bit soft, but otherwise the rest looks great.

I like the pose and the patterns in the sand. Head is a little oof as pointed out. I also wonder if it needs a little CW rotation or whether it is just the way the bird is standing. I can't really tell based on the plane of focus on the sand, maybe someone with a better eye can comment.

This is very nice imo. I very much like the way the bird is looking into the distance and I think the tilt adds interest!

The sand helps this along, perhaps a bit more room a the top and selectively lighten the left side of the bird.
