This unusual pose was captured about 10 days ago on Lake Marion near St. Cloud, Florida. This heron was positioned well within the frame for my first 5 images, but, because this quick stretch reached so far to the right I added some BG for balance. I appreciate any comments.

It's amazing how far these guys can stretch their necks when they see something interesting. A cool shot!

Jeryy,

Love the neck stretch probably the longest I have see. The BG goes well with the bird. Perhaps a bit brighter and more USM.

Being totally new to PS I have not been sharpening images regularly. The USM adjustment did make a subtle but dramatic improvement in the bird, especially around the eye. Although I feel a bit out of my league in this forum, I do appreciate the constructive critiques and comments.
