Green Kingfisher

Edinburg, TX

D1X, 600/4, 1.4X,

I shot this about two hours ago. Thanks to E.J. and Dennis for all your help getting me up to speed.
I'm posting this from a laptop, so I'm not sure how it looks.

Looks great but it needs more USM. An incredible image, love the perch and fish.

Alan, I love your photography and this is an excellent image. The perch is amazing.

Congrats to your new equipment. I am sure you will like digital. I agree a bit more USM and may be contrast and saturation but I am looking at it on my notebook too .... :-)))

Congratulations, Alan. You're gonna love it.

I agree with a tad more USM, but this isn't bad. Is this one of your perches?

Oh my...and this is only the beginning.
Extremely nice. Even better with a couple more shots of USM - but you already knew that.

Alan,
Beautiful shot. I bet you already love digital. If your future experiences with digital are like mine and everyone else I know, you will wonder why it took so long to switch.

Lovely image in all respects, with much more natural color than your scanner sometimes gives you.
