(Snow Goose) Bosque de Apache, New Mexico

Well, I made it. And, I've forgotten how SLOW dial up is. :? But I really wanted to show this. I hope it's ok, I don't use my laptop to work images often.

Tripod mounted Nikon D1H, 600mm AFS, TC-14EII, ISO 200, Manual, 1/1600 @ F6.3. Full Frame.

Excellent, Tony!
Thanks for sharing your first image from Bosque. It just shows that you do NOT really need a D2H to make great picture like this, do you?

I see a slight yellow cast on the plumage here ...

Fabulous shot Anthony. I sure had hoped you would have gotten your hands on a D2H for the trip! But, it doesn't get any better than this. :) :)

Beauty of a shot here. I like the tight composition around the wings.
I leave for Bosque in two days ... this post siked me up this morning.

Love the rich colors and the subtle shading on the bird. Happy Thanksgiving, Tony!

Superb shot. Thank goodness that you didn't clip the wings. Excellent perfomance.

I can see why you lot love Bosque this much. I'll have to go there myself someday... I'll add it to the list with 100s of places where I have to go...

Tony,

Looks like this goose has been gulping down a lot. Nice landing wingspread.
