For this weeks Motif, “My Favorites” I have picked an image of a Pacific Loon taken early June in Churchill.
This image brings to mind so much that has happened in our personal photography of 2003…..
*Our First real long prime lens a 500mm :)
*Comradeship of fellow photographers and folks from around the world.
*An introduction to “Wader-Photography” an ultimate experience and way to approach many shore and lake species
*Solitude between you and your subject
*Sunny 16 and Cloudy 5.6 8)
*Natures Best Photographic Communities at NSN, NPN and PM
*Technique and the art of photography combined
*The true meaning of the Golden Light of sunrise and sunset
*Patience, Perseverance and the end rewards…we have had many this year
*Listening to the “Silence of Nature” something very few people get to do…come see us and we will introduce you to this.

Thanks for looking. Comment and critiques always welcome.

Great shot. I love the partial concealment and the shadows across the head.

Nice one - the shadows on the face work well.

Hey! No fair! You got a thoughtful, gorgeous image with no black flies on the bird's face. :) I think it's wonderful.
