Taken at Kowloon Park one morning in earlier this month. They appeared as pair and appearently finding a nest. Hope I had not caused any great distribuance.

Subject: Alexandrine Parakeet P. eupatria
EOS 10D, EF100-400mm L IS USM @400, ISO400, f/8 handheld.

Also known here as Indian Ring-necked Parakeets. These birds are extremely beautiful. I would love to see one in the wild. Very nice shot of this one. :)

What a cool bird and what a precarious position for him to be in. Nice shot. A bit more DOF would be desirable if possible.

A little more DOF would help and the comp. is a little tight but I really like the birds position in the frame and the sweeping tail feathers up to the corner. Great pose and a bird I've not seen before.

I agree, a loose framing, DOF and better "choice" of pose may be desired. Application of flash could help too.
