Black-necked Stilt, Kissimme, FL

This is a companion image to my baby picture. This is mommy (or is it daddy?)

Some may complain about the weird reflection, but I kinda like it ;)

EOS 1D, EF 600/4IS, manual exposure; 1/500 @ F5.6, ISO 400.

Probably the best Stilt photo I have ever seen. this one is awesome everything from the bird, the background, the smoothness of the water and the quality of the light.

Great shot Greg. Exposure on the blacks and whites is great and I really like the weird reflection.

This shot has such a nice, clean elegance to it. Wonderful.

What a beatiful image. The silky smooth water, the movement of the stilt, and I like that reflection. This is a 10 in my book.

Great shot Greg! Love the eye detail. Hey EJ, I have to disagree with you... haven't you seen Greg's flight shots of these guys?

Beautiful shot of one of my very favorite birds. I like the zig-zaggedie reflection too.

Nice smooth, image. I am one of those who would crop the very bottom part of the reflection and leave the rest

Very nice clean shot.

A question on the placement of the bird and the reflection, did you intentionally allowed for more space above the bird and less below the reflection (it being cramped below)?

Thanks,
Geurt

Greg,

The rolling wake and early light produce a wonderful reflection. I like this a lot.

Very sweet Greg!

I do like the swirling reflection, very dreamy. The powder blue water is pretty awesome too.

Well Done!
