Bill:

You got an interesting pose, plus two birds together with enough DOF to have them both nice and sharp.
But the overall effect is a bit messy. Best fix would be to get messy yourself...lie down on the turtle grass wrack line and get low enough to separate the birds from the background. And crop out almost all of the foreground.

Hi Bill,
Nice pics. May be a little too many objects on first plan ?
that gives very flat composition - I can not see any background.
Nice done.

Excellent exposure and detail, my only advise would be a lower angle to place the birds over the water and therefore simplifying the BG, Otherwise very nice!!! Congrats!! 8)

Nice one Bill. These look like non breeding Dowitchers to me. Love the wing stretch, but I wish for a lower. I like what they are standing on!

Great shot Bill. I might crop some off the bottom.

I agree with the above comments. In addition, I like how the wing stretch adds interest.

Overall, a nice shot. :)

Great pair of Dowitchers. The DOF is excellent and the stretch is great. I like it.

Bill,

It's always nice to get two sharp birds in the frame. Perhaps a bit of a
tighter crop to reduce the FG bottom.
