Canon 10D 100-400 IS 1/1000 at f 5.5 Hand held Manual exposure - 2 stops from ambient light. Hans Suter Park, Corpus Christi, Texas.

My sincere apologies to the forum since I have not posted or commented lately.

This heron roosts at this pole in the bay and I wanted a silhouette with golden light.

All critics welcome.

Juan, beautiful light , nice silhouette as well, would clone out the other OOF birds in the BG, but would leave in the three that are pretty well defined, very moody and nice!! Congrats!! 8)

Very moody image though I wonder if it might be even better darker. The horizon is tilted a little and the buildings aren't ideal, but it's a nice one regardless. The timing is good with the birds in flight in optimal position.

I like it very much, Juan. Rotate CW a hair to get the horizon level. I agree with Greg that a bit darker would enhance the mood.

Well done Juan. I like this a lot as it is beautifull but has an urban feel to it where you often see these birds.

I like the colors a lot, but would for sure clone out the other bird dots as previously suggested...

Cheers,

I can feel the warmth coming out from my screen (which in grey and cold England is worth having!). Terrific shot.

Regards

Juan,
This looks exactly like Hans Suter Park. I agree that a little darker would be a lot better. Well done.
