D30, Sigma 400 f/5.6 HSM, 1/640 @ f/8, -2/3, ISO 200, slight crop to eliminate oof ducks in the BG.

I feel like I've been awake for a million hours and I can't tell if this is still crooked or not. All comments and suggestions for improvement are welcome. Thanks for looking! :)

Laura:

I love the sharpness and the exquisite light, the eye is very lovely. A little too tight on the vertical crop. Excellent exposure. Congratulations.

Laura,

I love the female ducks and this mallard hen is gorgeous. This does look like it needs a CCW rotation.

Pretty bird in pretty light. :)

I love mallards, mostly 'cause there's a heck of lot of 'em round here :)

This one is gorgeous with great light. It does have the impression of needing a little rotation.

I just feel like getting into the water with her and hug for a while!!!
What a wonderful face, she looks so firm and what a form!!
A little butt tight and a small ccw rotation could also help!!!
Wonderful!!, Congrats!!! 8)

Sweet duck, Laura. Rotation looks fine to me, but since I am a little rotated, I'm not sure you can accept my judgment. A landscape orientation would have worked better.

Very nice! Beautiful duck and very nice light. Sandy's comment about a horizontal working better is right on, but it's still a nice shot.

You have certainly done justice to this female beauty. I would have used a horizontal crop for this one. Great detail and perfect exposure.

Very pretty duck! You did her justice. But I think I would like the horizontal a little better. But it is great as is! :)
