This was taken earlier this fall when the falcons were still in the area. ( don't think I posted this paticular shoot before)

The falcons here in the area are researched and the chicks tagged by the Natural Resources ever year. The numbers are increasing slowly. We have had the pleasure to work with the local chaps in some of this work...very satisfying to see the results.

This paticular bird is not tagged and free as the wind she flys in. :wink:

Doug -

Ha, thats funny! I was working on my peregrine post when yours came up.
Excellent flight shot at eye level. The blurred wing tips are great.

Very nice!

Gorgeous image Doug. I'm curious, did you shoot this hand-held or off a tripod?

Pretty impressive, Doug;

With a bird this fast, and this close, I wouldn't be able to keep up with the panning.

What a great shot. The only Peregrines I've seen have been either too far away or shot by too fast looking for shorebirds. An excellent flight shot.
