.....darn tootin! A group of us from Long Island went to Central Park in NYC today to do just that. We saw some Hawks, Waxwings, Titmouse, Nuthatches, Woodpeckers,Ruddy Ducks, Shovlers, etc, etc. Fun day and thanks to the fellow who showed us all around, Cal Vornberger. Funny thing was how many people kept asking us what we were doing. No lie, you can imagine how many people are in Cantral Park in a day...If you go, get there early like we did, 6:30am. Bring your gear to NYC next time folks, you're in for a treat!

I wish the one above were a tad sharper but liked the feel anyway so I am posting it.

Beautiful shot George. I really love the composition. :) Looks like tough lighting conditions. You handled them well.

Very nice!!

Cool shot. I really like the simplicity of this shot. The two red berries add a lot.

Beautiful image...I love the way background compliments the bird...and his pose has plenty of NYC attitude... :-)

Too bad the bird isn't front lit, however in spite of that it is very nice. I really like the BG and the composition is excellent. The two berries on the twig are just enough for this simple, clean image.

George, I'm glad you did post it. it's a sweet shot. I might crop in a bit to make him bigger in the frame.

Great shot. I like the affect of the lighting on the bird. The background colors are perfect for this guy.

Fine shot, George, with excellent BG. It looks plenty sharp to me. The CW has such fine feathers that it gives a mushier than usual look.

Very nice! Lovely composition and great colors. A touch of fill flash could have opened up the shadows a bit more. Beautiful bird!
