Bornean Crested Fireback Pheasant (Captive-Wings of Asia Exhibit)

Looking more like a character in an Opera, this bird is quite handsome, although his head feathers are in the process of growing back his face more than makes up for it, Looks as if he is wearing a mask, the female is not as pretty , something that is very common in the Pheasant World!!
D1x, Raw, 70-200mm afs-VR + 2X, FL=280mm, Manual mode, 1/125sec SS-f/4, EV=0, ISO=125, Flash as main D-TTL.

Wow! Great head shot. That red eye in that blue, blue face is intense.

Excellent, Alex. Great flash work too - although you mention that you've used flash as main, you wouldn't know it to look at.
