Ring-necked Duck Aythya collaris

Location: Phoenix, Arizona

This image was taken last February at DuckShop. This is one of my all-time favorite shots.

EOS 1V, 600/4 IS, 550EX w/BB @ -1 2/3, Gitzo, Wimberley
Eval @ -2/3,Av @ f5.6, Provia 100F @100
Full frame

Oh man Bill, this definitely ranks up there among the very best DuckShop images and one of the very best Ring-necked Duck images. they are back in bigger numbers than ever it seems.

Very nice. What makes the image for me is the position on the diagonal between the dark and bright water.
