Help! When preparing photogaphs for display on the web, I am getting a color shift in Photoshop CS. Blues tend to turn green during the preparation for the web. Please note the sky on this graph, the blues show a shift toward green. The original is blue. I don't have the skills to correct the colors when saving for the web. Any help you may provide will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Hey Bill, Can't help with the color shift problem, but I can tell you that That your photo is very nice. Love the perch and BG. The bird has great detail and a great pose. Still a tad dark Bill.

Bill,

Do the blues noticeably turn green? When I convert to sRGB with PS7 I can't visibly notice a color shift. I have to go in and get numbers to see any difference. Even then the difference is very minor.

This is a very nicely composed image. The open bill is a big plus.

Nice looking birdy Bill. I'm no PS expert but I did read someone say that changing the colour space to sRGB before saving for the web will enable you to correct the colours before saving. Just a thought :)

Sky here looks fine to me. I'd recommend assigning sRGB rather than converting. When converting, you don't see the color change until you hit Save for Web. Assigning sRGB instantly lets you see the image in sRBG, very close to the way it will look on the web, and then you can adjust as needed. Just be sure NOT to save your original in sRGB!

Looks totally blue here - probably a color cal issue on your PC since everyone seems to be seeing it well here. The shot is very nice - I like the open bill.

You are absolutely correct Cliff, I appreciate the tip. After many hours of trying to figure out the issue with the color shift I found a little button on the save to web screen and got the color settings set correctly. I feel like a total idiot. I just installed Photoshop CS and never got around to setting everything correctly. I greatly appreciate your suggestion, it does make a big difference.
