Smashing - as always! Raised foot, iridescent color of the body, turn of the head, and colors in the "pond scum" are great. Gotta chuckle though because that's one ugly foot. :)

Very, very nice. :!: Makes me wish I was able to get out there and get all muddy with the rest of you. Instead I'm stuck behind a computer screen all day.

Fantastic! Gorgeous colors in the bird, love the raised foot. To me the background colors/patterns are subtle but a beautiful addition to the whole image.

Love the colors! The lifted leg makes the composition and, as usual, it's perfectly exposed. A wonderful Ibis image!

Good one, Chas. The head turn is perfect. Breeding colors look to be declining.

Hey Chas,
Nice shot.... especially under what were not the most optimal lighting conditions by the time the clouds dispersed! Good to see you there.

Fantastic. Tiny nit is having the bird placed a little further to the left in the frame.

Ditto KK's comments. Great shot for what looks to be mid-day light conditions.

Chas,

This is fabulous from the catchlight in the eye, to the detail in the feathers, to the raised foot to the very striking background. Great shot as usual from a wonderful photographer.

Best,

Not always that easy to get the iridescence in the plumage that you have caught here. The raised leg/foot really make an excellent shot even better. Job exceptionally well done.
