Bald Eagle about to Strike

Another image from Homer this past March.
In the afternoon, we bought our own frozen herring and tossed it in the bay. This is absolutely great fun. Just watching the eagles come in and strike the bait is great. You need the right wind at your back to have them landing at you which never happened for us, but this one is still pretty good :wink:

Classic pose, Richard and neat shot. The upswing of the wing contrasts with the strong horizontal lines of the water and that works for me visually in this image.

Pretty good? Looks great to me! It is a beautiful picture and I think it would be very difficult to improve upon..
