Never posted this one from last winter at Santee. Liked the different pose with a portrait quality to it. Not happy about the bill merging with the body. Who's dying to shoot ducks again?!? I am! Cropped a bit off the top and bottom.

Mike,

Terrific detail! I like the pose and the crop, too. Outstanding work!

Excellent, Mike. In a more perfect world, the end of the bill would not merge with the back of the duck.

Whites and the bill are only slight problems. The tight crop helps show off the detail here. Had you gone wider, the bill probably would seem to merge more. The head turn (aside from the bill) is a real winner.

Ducks, did somebody say its getting to be time to photograph ducks - I'll be there ;) - It will soon be time to break out my 2004 Duckman duds

Very, very nice shot - the head turn is perfect!

I'm having major withdrawl. It won't be much longer here.

I love the pose and head turn. Bill merge is a very minor issue.

I love it!!

This is an excellent closeup of the ring necked duck. I love ducks anyway and you have just reminded me that it won't be long before I'll see them again. Good job on both counts.

I think it looks very duckly. No problems with any of it. :)

Love it, though maybe a tad tight. I can't wait to get out there in January!
