I shot this image yesterday morning from my vehicle. I love these birds, they provide some quality viewing time while watching them feed.

Wow, now I would love to have one of these in my portfolio! I see them occasionally here, but have never gotten a good shot of one and they are the state bird of OK. Beautiful composition! I love the lacy branch it is sitting on and you left plenty of room for that graceful tail. I like the muted grey background too. Very nicely done!

It's a very graphical image and the subtle colors remind me of an Oriental illustration. Definitely a winner, congrats.

Pete, Nice to see one not on a wire. I might crop closer to the tail and add it in front of the bird. nice shot.

Composition for these long-tailed birds is very difficult. You did very well here. I agree that a little more to the right in the frame would help but very nice as is!!

Very nice, Pete. Is this in Choke or Port A? Looks more like Choke.

Very nice! I too would like a tad bit more room to the left and less to the right but I think this is very nice as is. These birds are a LOT of fun to watch. :)

Nicely done image with no major nits other than it could possibly use a bit more room frame left.

A beautiful image of this bird! Compositionally I'd have panned to the left unless there was unattractive stuff there. Alternatively, since the sky is pretty uniform in color cropping the right and adding sky to the left like Alan suggests could make this outstanding.

Pete,

Lovely bird, perch and BG. I agree with the suggested change in framing.

Would love to see one of these some day and maybe even photograph one  .

A very nice shot. As others have mentioned, recomposing by putting the tail closer to the right edge would help this shot tremendously.

I couldn't agree more with the cropping suggestions. Thanks for the replies.
