I am not an avid bird shooter, but they often frequent my landscape work. This is on the Snake River, WY, with fall foliage just out of sight, but making it's preseebce known.

I really like the mood of this photo! The placement of the single bird in the frame is very good and I like how you got him in the part of the water that is mostly blue. Those brilliant reflections of the trees complement the coloring of the goose well, but do not, to my eye over-power the goose. The sand bar is a nice inclusion in the frame and really helps to anchor the shot.

Neat shot Jeffery. The water looks like it's on fire. I like the simplicity of the Goose and small piece of land.

Hi Jeffrey. Great colors in this one! I notice your from Santa Barbara- I spend quite a bit of time there every year and think it's a wonderful place for bird photography. :)

Thanks, everyone. Sorry about the image size. It was prepped for another web presentation, and I didn't notice it was oversize for this site.

My goal that day was to keep it simple. I waited for the other geese to fly off, and later only cropped a bit for this composition. Thanks for all the kind comments. I try to learn from all of your great work here.

Well seen and composed. The reflection in the upper right of the building? is a bit distracting but the color makes up for it I think.
