Rich's Roller shot motivated me to post. Last year in September, on the final day of our safari as we were driving out of Kenya's Masai Mara this stunning bird presented itself to me and Jack. It seemed to say..."Hurry back!" Now, who could resist such an invitation?

We had planned to return this fall (and every fall thereafter), but the world situation kept us away. But next year.....!

Great shot of this colorful bird! Some character really seems to be shining through. Wonderful detail, lovely background.

 What a colorful bird! Sharp and good dof, though the comp feels a little centered. Maybe crop a little from the left and bottom? Just a suggestion.

Simply fantastic - what colours and what a background.
I was in Kenya way back in 1996 and among the birds that I remember most vividly the Rollers are on my top-5 list

Wonderful capture of my favorite east Africa bird. Great exposure, and great catch light in the eye.

Sweet image Len! I like everything about this. It is unusual to see one all puffed up like this. The colors are outstanding.

Outstanding colors Ken. Best expression I've ever seen for a Roller. He looks unimpressed or something.

A well taken opportunity. I'd love to go back to Africa every year but I haven't figured out a way to get my employer to give me more days off.
