Pyrrhuloxia, Roma, TX

Visiting Roma last year, E.J., Heather and I had a blast. We probably lost a few shots because we were making so much noise laughing and joking around, but we still had a pretty productive trip.

I can’t wait to get back to the Ranch next April.

Nice feather detail on the breast and face. It almost has a slightly artificial look but I can't put my finger on why I get that feeling.

I agree with Neil of his same feeling. Anyway, this is a great shot on breast and eye.

I still can't believe you were able to grab a shot of that bird, the moment that it was there was fleeting! I like this image a lot and hope I get one of the whole bird myself next year.

Nice capture that sits well in the frame. I'd like to see the tail a bit more in focus.

Wonderful image of a very strange-looking bird (to us europeans at least). The background is very well chosen for this bird! A little more DOF wouldn't have bothered me

Yeah, a little more DOF would be nice but this one's sharp where it counts most. Great colors and pose. :)

Just wonderful. I love the look of splattered crimson and the background could not be nicer. :)

It looks like it didn't get one of your jokes.

Still nice capture. I don't mind the little DOF very much. The tail doesn't really add much and one gets a bit more feeling of depth.

The bill really attracts attention as it should.

I like the expression and the little crest on its head. Neat bird.
