Magee Marsh, Ohio

Just another Spring time migrant from Magee. The was possibly the most friendly vireo I have ever seen. Unfortunately, there were about 10 people hording around the clearing on the boardwalk to catch a look. :( I cloned some stuff from both the LRH and URH corners. As always all comments and suggestion for improvement are welcome. Thanks for looking! :)

Cite little guy and a very nice photo. I photographed a Red-eyed Vireo in the same place dismantling a butterfly a few years ago.

Such a sweet little featherball. I love the multi-hued background. The colors of which being repeated in the bird - and vice versa. The eye and beak are super sharp as are the feathers on the breast and wing.

Very good stuff Laura. :)

Laura, This is one of the nicest White-Eyed Vireo shots I've seen. He is nice and relaxed. The light on him is perfect. The BG is incredible. The headturn is just right.

If I had to try and improve it, I might have a go at cloning out some more of the base branch on the right side of the stick he is on. But, it's so awesome as is too. Oh, and Laura.....I hate you for this one. :D

Laura, this is wonderful. The bird is so cute and the background is to die for. I think I might prefer the bird higher in the frame, but still sweet as is.

This is a very nice one! All the colours are simply matching all the way through. I love the eye and the pale-yellow sides on that bird

Laura,

Great shot. What a wonderful view of that eye. Maybe a little higher in the frame, but not much. Nice work.

Laura -

This is a great shot of a bird that can be very difficult. I wouldn't change a thing.

Hi Laura,

I'm in agreement that this is a sweet shot. Don't get but a couple of these at Magee each spring. You took good advantage of the opportunity, this is much better than anything I have on the species!

A good reminder from Greg on the composition.

I was commenting to friends recently that I needed to frame my birds a tad higher, especially when shooting vertical. I tend to rely on the center AF sensor on the eye and thus am stuck with most of the bird below the horizontal center line. One shot AF and re-compose is my new mantra!

Way to go!
