Serengeti, 2002. I've been going through my images from Tanzania, seeing what I want to differently for next summer's trip. This guy is definitely one to try again. The lilac breasted roller is just about the most colorful bird I've seen. This guy is a little ragged, but he has the wildest blue I've seen on a roller.
D60, 100-400 at 400, ISO 800 (duh! the ability to change ISO from shot to shot is a positive only when you remember to change it back!), 1/1600 at f5.6. Cropped from the bottom to remove more of the rock perch. Rich |
