I thought at least the colors here were appropriate to wish everyone a Happy Halloween. This male Baltimore Oriole was shot from a backyard blind.
Canon 10d, 400mm 2.8IS w/2xTC, 1/30sec, f7.1, ISO400

Perch, pose, colors and background all are great by themselves, but I would lighten the background just a bit so the bird's head stood out a bit more.

It does seem a bit dark.....but it's a great shot. The detail and BG are exceptional. Excellent job!

Very nice shot. I like the over the shoulder look and the smooth green background. You have already heard how being lighter would make it even better.

Steve, the image is perfect, I think. On my mac monitor the dark/light is perfect but I usually post things too dark, so I'm sure that's why I like it so well. :lol:
