Rainbow Lorikeets are a common bird right along the east coast of Australia. They are bright, outgoing and love to party :D
This pair were in my front garden. The image has been worked with layers in PS. The BG was lightened and the birds sharpened with USM.

Rainbow Lorikeet's are so much fun and they also bite very hard - I had one bite through the webbing between my thumb and index finger! Very nice shot!

Love the interaction between these two, especially the one on left. There appears to be a strange blur around the edge of the birds and perch, and the end of the upper branch fork on the left looks like it has been blurred in PS or something.

Wayne,

An incredible splash of color, nice to have a pair of birds in sharp focus at the same time. Only nit is to clone the green branch at the shoulder of the left bird. Well done.

Wow, that's some color! This has a bit of a flashed look to it, but it's very nice otherwise.

Great color and great interaction. The flash was a good way to deal with the background which works nicely here.

Lovely picture! Are the heads always like this or do the birds have control over the ruffling of the feathers?

You have the most colorful birds, Wayne! These two are in a humorous pose which I like a lot. Not sure how you sharpened, and blurred the BG, but some of the edges of the bird seem to have been caught in the blur. You might try a smaller tolerance when surrounding the birds, if that was the method employed.
