For us mortals who can not make to Bosque this year, we can still dream and make ideal compositions, I made this merged image fron the last year's pictures. All in the confort of my home (Temperature 87, nice chair, a cup of expresso, on my pijamas and barefooted). Oh! I still remember last year freeze at the flying deck, half sleep, fumbling with equipment on no light, Artie yelling at me and all nervous of missing the blast off.

Hi Juan,

This being a composite I find it a little difficult to critique for some reason. I do like the color, especially in the lower right  .

For me an even more extreme pano crop would work great. I'd crop down from top to remove the top 8 birds, then either crop a little more or clone to lose the bird head on the upper right edge and the highest remaing good from near the top middle of the frame.

I hope that made sense.

Juan, I am beginning to think that you are a cruel man!!, As I write, I, am removing all sharp objects from my office since I can not be trusted after seeing this image, more than likely I won't be able to make it to Bosque one more time, I will be turning the lights off and try to go to sleep, so I can forget what I have seen here!!! Boohoo!!!!!!

The colors rock!! I like how the placement of the birds create an arc across the top of the frame.

Too cool. 8) 8)

Juan,

Beautiful shot. Love those colors. Cropping the top might improve the image, but it is excellent just the way it is.

This is very well done, Juan.

It would be almost impossible to tell this is a composite if you hadn't said so.

Juan,

Very well done. The arcing birds on top are super as are the colors in the lower 1/3. The open spaces are just right so it does not appear congested.

Never been to Bosque and not likely to make it anytime soon so, like Alex, I'm removing all sharp objects from the vicinity.

Wonderfully done - both the shots and the composition. Brian raises an interesting alternative to crop to pano and I've got to admit to liking that as well, but I would take off the top 11 birds.

The colors and composition are lovely. I also like the idea of a pano as described by Brian, but there are so many possibilities. . . 8)

Juan,
Absolutely beautiful. I would not change a thing. Have you tried to print this on your new toy?
