Yellow-rumps are among my favorite subjects. I was working on sparrows from a bag blind a few falls ago when this one presented itself.

Paul, this is just beautiful. Love the light on this bird. The leaves are just awesome. I just wish that one dark twig going across the lower left was not there. This would also make a killer vertical.

Hi Paul, I agree with Alan in that this is a beautiful image, great light and the leaves ARE awesome. The leaves are the main reason I disagree with his vertical suggestion. A vertical crop here would lose most of the best leaves.

Well Done!

Wonderful shot, Paul. The autumn colours of the leaves are perfect, as is the light. Fresh.

Paul,

The widely spaced autumn leaves make this special. Agree with Alan's comments on the dark twig.

Pretty bird, nice light and environment. The OOF twig doesn't bother me as it's in harmony and going in the same dirsction as the main branch. I might like just a bit more sharpness on the chest.
