This one is cropped about 60% after comments from my first/last post. I found it difficult to crop as the mood of that evening was magical. The parent seemed to parade the family in front of me, as if to say "Look at my children" She kept her eye on me constantly and just floated by, to & fro.

Her head and neck just went into direct sunlight as I took the shot. It reminded me of the time my 4 kids were born and how new mothers radiate that a lovely glow.

Lat,

This is wonderful. She really does look like a proud mother. :)
I wish the cygnets were facing the camera but I know how little ones can be shy about getting their picture taken. Cropping a little off the top to bring this back to 35mm ratio strengthens the composition, IMHO.

I hope you have more of these swan photos as I am really enjoying them!!

Excellent image in spite of the uncooperative kids in the parent's wake, Would crop the top vegetation for better balance and would underexpose the image by 1/3 or even maybe even 1/2EV, Congrats!! 8)

Whites look OK on my monitor. Not all of them have visible detail, but they're not hot either. Maybe it's just JPEG compression. Lovely shot.

Very nice but a bit overexposed. This is another image that could benefit greatly from a linear conversion combined with a normal conversion. Here's how you do that:
