Kodachrome 64.
Benbo tripod with ballhead.
Full frame.
Canvas hide (blind).
Photographed in Cheshire, England in the autumn (fall).

The lens used could have been a 300mm with either a 1.4xTC or a 2xTC or a 600mm with an extension tube to bring the MFD down. I was shooting a varied combination of lenses and a mix of Kodachrome and Fujichrome. The OOF background in this shot is a meadow and the Kodachrome versions look better, photos of this bird on a different perch with water as a background look better on the Fujichrome due to that films rendition of blue.

Darth,

This is a killer photo. I would be tempted to crop down just passed the light area in the top right. Also the white spot in front of the eye is a little confusing, it looks like a catchlight in the wrong place.

I love the perch, pose and background.

I love the color and the shimmer on the feathers. I wish I could see it's face a little more clearly though.

Nits are covered - nothing new to add there. Just have to say that you've captured the irridescence on the back very nicely.
