Wow. I wish we had those here. Beautiful bird. My only real nit is that I wish there was a bit more of a head turn. The white on the rump is a bit burned out on my computer but it really doesn't bother me too much, particularly since you have such nice detail in your blacks.

Great colors, pose and background. I agree with a little more head turn but this is not bad. Seems just a little tight. Did you get any without the 1.4X?

Very nice shot. :)

Vesa, Thank you for posting this species. It reminds me of growing up birding in England. This was my favorite bird. This is an awesome shot. I am impressed that you got it so sharp with the magnifacation used and a monopod at that. Great technique. I like the dual color BG.

A beautiful little bird with excellent color and detail. I enjoy seeing the species that are not present here. Very nice.

Cool shot, I prefer the head like this rather than the "perfect" angle. Really nice.

I was testing 800/5.6 with converters (1.4x and 2x) so I didn't get any without.

It's a cute little fellow with nice colors, it's one of my favorites too. Quite common here in Northern Europe.

I like the shooting angle, you have got more not so often seen details of plumage as would have been from front/side picture. Also the undirect light helps the red breast tone in pleasant measures, not too oversaturated.

You have a monster of super tele :o But I know it is going to be necessary in many situations since birds here in Finland are not too easy to approach. I'm looking for a bigger glass after a few months with 420mm..

Very nice shot - perhaps a bit shifted toward cyan but still very nice.

Wonderful shot! A bit of room to the left, for the bird to `look into` would be nice.

Vesa,

One great looking bird. Wish they would migrate to Florida.

Very colorful bird. I like the background and the detail. Also, I think the lens tested out fine. :)

Beautiful bird, well captured! Great detail and colors. My only wish, too, would be a slight head turn, but still a really nice shot.
