Northern Cardinal

I know I'm a sick man.....but I'm ready for some cooler weather. Maybe not snow but at least some nice fall weather.

Glad I found everyone and I look forward to posting, learning and having fun.

Enjoy,
Chip

You are a sick man.....and misery loves company. I was just looking at a titmouse that I shot in the snow. Very nice cardinal and he's giving you "that look". Just what do you do to them for that look, anyway!!

LOL! Chip, you got me! I wasn't expecting to see snow. :) It's a gorgeous shot. I like the perch and the foliage on the right. The bird looks so sweet and very curious. Wonder what he's looking at? Would make a very nice greeting card!

I like it - we could use some cooling off here in the desert after a record summer. 105 in the shade is a cool day here :)

Very nice photograph!

Chip, I can't think of anyone I'd rather see over here. We need a few more sickies to make this place run properly.

You tried hard with this image, Chip, but it just doesn't work for beating the heat. The snow may look cool, but the Cardinal is red hot. He's almost melted the snow from his perch.

BTW, not a bad image.

Chip,

I like the unusual pose and a great stump. The snow and the little red plant add a lot of feeling.

Hi Chip---great shot! The orange bittersweet next to the perch is as cool as the snow.

Chip,
You are definitely not sick. I think of cool weather all the time, but it never comes down here.
Love the inquisitive look on this guy.

Love the image and I know what you mean about the weather. Although it hasn't bee over 100 here it has been very hot and wicked himid for far too long. Just last night a front finally came through and brought us some wonderful weather!

Hi Chip,

Lovely image of the Cardinal. I have mixed feelings about the orange foliage on the right as it does compete with the Cardinal for attention. Still a very nice image. Glad to see you joining the group here.

An endearing image. This is a classic cardinal picture executed with a great deal of sensitivity and technical ability. Well made.
