Avocet is one of my favorite shorebirds wintering in Hong Kong. In flight the black & white pattern on the upper wings is particularly attractive. This group shot was taken late last week at Deep Bay here in the north-western part of Hong Kong ...

Another great flight shot KK. Getting all the birds inside the frame makes this a winner. Does it ever get sunny in Hong Kong? :)

KK;

You really arranged these birds nicely against the sky. Very smooth monchromatic image.

Very nice image, KK. I love the pattern of the birds. Minimal merges really makes this one stand out. :)

I *very* much like the black and white patterns to the birds. This reminds me of a M.C. Escher print. Very nice!

The birds create a lovely pattern and you managed to get them all in the frame with no left over parts. Wonderful.

Wow KK.....you've done it again. I absolutely love the pattern with this one. Laura's right....Escher immediately came to mind. You are a man of vision. I'd like to see what you'd come up with at Bosque......I can only imagine. Excellent and creative as always.

Beautifully composed group shot. You are the master of these group shots. The birds make excellent subjects too. Love the black/white pattern.
