Hey, I found you guys! :D The names and pictures look very familiar.

Got this guy a few days ago at the beach nearby. I sure am glad the kids are back in school (even though I have to be there with them). Now I can actually get to the beach.

1D with 600 and 2X TC, AV - 2/3, ISO 200 (1/500, f11).

Thanks for looking.

If the birds head was a little further away from the color change in the BG, it might not feel so cramped. I like the raised foot here - the low angle also complements this nice warm photo.

Bruce:

I love the angle and the sharpness, the highlight on the eye is a bonus. I am glad we are back with our old friends.

Nice shot, Bruce. Good catchlight, which I never seem to get right on these guys. Like Juan, I like the low angle.

A sweet shot, Bruce. The bird is in stealth mode. As Alex said, it's great to have more of the inmates over here.

Hi Bruce! This guy looks like he's been rode hard and put away wet. :D But the image looks good color, contrast and sharpness-wise. I think Matt Kuchta makes an interesting observation---there is kind of an optical illusion with the break line of sand/sky contributing to the hunched posture of the bird.
