Least Sandpiper Calidris minutilla

This little Sandpiper was photographed at Ft. Myers Beach Florida last April. After the tide had gone out there were several different species of birds making good use of the food left behind. This LSp did its feather shake right after downing a morsel.

1V, 600/4 IS, 2X EF II, tripod.
Provia 100, Eval @ -2/3, Av @ f9
Cropped 20% left, right, bottom.

All comments and critiques are welcome. Thanks for looking. :)

Hi Bill, the ruffled feather look is great, and the white feathers on its belly are perfect! I like this one alot.

Really nice Least shot, like the catch of the behavior. Gorgeous blue in the background, too. Wonderfully sharp - well done! :)

Hi Bill,

Sweet bird, nice BG and good action too. What else is there to want? Maybe the light coming over your right shoulder instead of your left. The most minor of nits, if you can even call it a nit.

Well Done Bill,

BZ

Love the shake and general comp although the sky seem a bit oversaturated.

Bill,

Great capture, I think the way you have caught the action is great. Lots of great detail in the feather and I love the almost tiptoe feel to his feet.
