(Brown Pelican) Yelapa, Mexico

This was taken during my 5 day vacation in Mexico two years ago. This was taken a few frame before the image I posted earlier this week to start off this motif.

Handheld Nikon D1H, 80-400 VR, ISO 200, Aperture Priority, 1/200 @ F16, SB-80DX, BB. Cropped to about 95% full height.

I like this shot a whole lot!!!

Great job on the exposure with keeping the bird's light colored head against the sky...

Very nice. As with the other shot, I love the perch! :)

A fine pelican, Tony, even though he's not flying.

Very nice Peli, Love the rock/perch!!! If I was going to be greedy I would increase saturation just a tad as well as contrast, but that's just me, fine as is!! Congrats!! 8)

Great shot. The only thing I can think of would be a little bit of fill flash for a catchlight, but that's really nitpicking.

It might be hard to see in the image at this size but the eye is reflecting the sky as well as a spot for the flash that I was using. :)

Tony,
Very nice shot! This is just my opinion, but I think I would like it a little better with a little darker BG.

Nice image. I might add some more saturation and just boost the colors a bit.
