I would have prefered that the darker reflections not be there. But this is still very nice. :)

Bill, Nice shot.

I would have moved to the left more to not have the dark shadow in the BG. Some flash would have helped with the feet and perch. I'd also place him off center and to the right of the frame. The exposure and detail on the bird look good. Maybe a little more USM on the head.

Alan beat me to the step to the left suggestion. Placement in the frame for a vertical is subjective and depends on a few factors. In this case, with the long bill, I would have placed him a little more to the right.

Still, overall this is a very nice image!!

I'm late to the party, when the image first opened I said, wow this is a really nice YCNH shot taken in beautiful light and the plumage is rendered really well, just wish he had taken a step to the left to get rid of the black reflection.

I agree with the suggestion about taking a step left. Only problem was, the bird flew away! :lol:
