This is a shot I went back and worked in photoshop. I have never posted it before. Cropped about 25% mostly from the bottom to remove an OOF other bird. I have posted one of a head tucked shot that I really liked, but this isdigital not film.

I am amazed at what all has been shown with a Pelican motif this week. I really love this pose. I think if I could wish for anything...it might be a slightly sharper eye. Perhaps a touch of USM on it. Great job!

I really really like the composition on this one Steve! The whites look a tad blown out on my monitor, just a tad. One great technique on the eye is to use the lasso tool on the pupil and then raise contrast, it makes the eye pop.

Wonderful composition. I agree that it is a little soft as presented.

Hi Steve,

I agree on the eye sharpness. Love the composition, very different. The colors are nice. I think the exposure is fine as this looks somewhat back lit. I don't mind blowing the edges for better exposure on the larger % of the bird.

Well Done!

This is a very different compostion for a "head tucked" image and it is excellent.

The nits have been covered. All easily fixed. Excellent in your face composition.
