When the tide is high the white pelicans like to frolic close to the board and the late afternoon light saturate them very nicely. This one is my favorite. All comments appreciated. Thanks for looking.

What a wonderful image. The light is great and the white against the blue background really stands out. Oh yah, and the bird’s placement in the frame is right one. The only very small thing is that I feel it needs the slightest clock-wise rotation to get the horizon parallel. LOVE IT!

The off level horizon has been mentioned. Perfect timing on the shutter IMO. The comp and lighting are beautiful. Gotta love that Hans Suter Park action!

I wouldn't change a thing in this picture. Great contrast is coming from quality sun light, my favourite photographing situation.

Juan,

Excellent shot. The saturated colors are wonderful. I really like the diagonal wing span.

Beautiful, Juan. Is it a tad oversaturated? The horizon fix might get the wings pretty close to the edge of the frame.

This is wonderful! If that saturation is not done in PS, I'm really impressed. These birds are hard to get good images of, and this one rocks!

This has great potential. Just for fun I brought it up in PS, rotated it 1.75 degrees CW, Cropped it in 3:2 ratio and added a bit more USM and it became a killer image. (I've also deleted it from the harddrive)

Great light and wonderful timing!

Beautiful, not only the bird but I love the tones in the background. The detail on the bird is just great, too. On my monitor the oranges look a bit oversaturated, but I should probably check my monitor (or it's just a factor of the light as you said). Really great shot, Juan! Not easy to get a pelican in flight with those wingspans.
