Not too many pelicans in Missouri but I'll throw my hat in the ring. This was cropped a little more then I usually like (50%) but needed to get rid of a half bird to the right and some unnecessary sky.

Taken on a foggy early May morning in NW Missouri, the 96th shot taken from my once shiny new 10D (now on #5800+ ) . The fog helped to hide the reflection of houses on the other side of the lake.

"Group" shots are hard to pull off. You've done a great job here. I like the fact that you captured all the blue eyes and fog adds imo.
I have always been amazed at the number of white pelicans we have here in Missouri.
Nice shot.

I love this photo, Chris. The symmetry of the three birds is wonderful. The fourth bird breaking the pattern adds a lot of interest, tension, and drama to this. This is an image I can look at for hours. The crop works well for me.

Very, very well done!!

Ditto to everything Alan said. I love the soft tones and that you can see all of the eyes so well.

I really like your composition here. That's quite an elaborate "breeding bump" on the foremost birds!

Nice group of pelicans. I like that all the eyes are visable and the front three are sharp.
