Very nice light and a pretty Wigeon. A bit more USM would make this pop a little better.

I just noticed that you shot this handheld.....man you must have a steady hand. Beautiful colors and detail...EJ may be right....a touch more USM. I always find it hard to make the decision...too much or not enough on some of the PS manipulations. Still....beautiful hen and absolutely gorgeous colors. Great job!

Were you on the ground hand holding this? I like the panoramic crop here and I think it works well. Everything else has been said.

Nice use of a pano crop here. Perhaps just a bit more room in front of the bird would be nice but that's just my taste.

Sheri,

Very nice shot. The late afternoon light sure made the colors look great.

Sheri, this is just outstanding. The sharpness and detail throughout the bird are first-rate. Is that a new avatar? Sweet.

She is such a pretty little duck. I really like the way you've managed to illuminate the eye as that has always seems extremely difficult for me with this species. I think this is a very nice shot with beautiful light.

I have Wigeons on my lake right now and haven't had a chance to get after them. :(
Great light and I agree with a little more USM.
I hope to get something this nice of this bird.

I was actually just sitting on the bank of the lake where this was taken.

This is a new avatar. I just got the photo of this Wigeon last weekend.
